Take a look

I'll take a look at it, but I do wonder what the advantages to using this program are over Thunderbird. It seems a little light on features, but then again, I prefer a full-featured client.

If I get a chance to work on this, I'll either update this comment or comment somewhere below. In the case I get something working completely, I'll link it too.

Sylpheed

You are right, Thunderbird is an awesome client, no doubt about that. But this one is faster, specially when you have to manage thousands and thousands emails.

It's in a book

Well, that turned out to be one of the easiest apps to make portable yet. I wasn't able to find any registry items being used so here it is.

I'll consider it

I can't make any promises here, but I'll look into it. If someone gets to it before me, please do so. My class load is a bit heavy near the end of the semester so my downtime is more limited.

Another look

Nobody has stepped up, any chance you might have more time now to look at it?

Looked, and probably not

I took a shot at it in the down time I had, and I noticed that Claws Mail has some weird quirks that Sylpheed doesn't which make it more difficult to make portable properly. One of them is that it either requires no spaces in the path or escaped spaces in the path which are hard to work around. I'll continue to work on it slowly but I'm not sure that it'll be usable enough when I'm done.
