Remove launcher taskbar preview

I would like to know if it is possible to somehow stop the platform from showing a preview when you hover over the taskbar icon?

I know about the below info, but would like to keep the icon on the taskbar if I can.

Disable the Windows 7 Taskbar Icon

To disable the Windows 7 taskbar icon, close the PortableApps.com Platform. Browse to X:\PortableApps\PortableApps.com\Data and open the file PortableAppsMenu.ini in your favorite text editor (Notepad is fine). In the section [DisplayOptions] add the following line:

Windows7TaskbarIcon=false

Then save and restart the PortableApps.com Platform.

thank you for your time

Why?

According to Microsoft's own guidelines, if something is in the taskbar, it's supposed to have a preview. If you don't like the previews, you can disable them at the system level. Why would you want it disabled just for the PA.c Platform?

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Hi and thanks

Hi and thanks, well I guess I'll just disable the taskbar icon instead although it is much more handy to have it there. I have been giving out USB thumb drives to people with PA.c setup on them for people to try, and the removal of the preview of the PA.c launcher is one of the most asked questions I get from people. I guess it comes down to the fact that they don't see the point in having a preview of what is basically a start menu, and I must admit I would have to agree with them on that. but like I said I'll just set the option to remove the taskbar icon altogether and instruct them to use the tray Icon instead. Again thanks for your time and I look forward to seeing some info about the new 12 development soon.

Ray.

P.S. just thought you might like to hear that I have given out over 50 free usb drives to random people and most people like it not all but hey that's life right.

Please try to be tolerant with me,I would like to be able to contribute to communities like this one, I just don't have the talent or knowledge yet. So if you help me now, I may be able to help others later!
