Hello,
I'm just wondering if PortableApps can be used for Professional computers?
For instance, Spybot is in free edition. Should I use the pro edition at work?

Depends on the individual app. Many of them are usable as-is for commercial use, but there are a small few that are not.
Generally speaking, if it is open source then it will always be fine to use commercially. If it is freeware then you may need to check.
Checking is a little tedious though. You will need to install the app, navigate to AppNamePortable\App\AppInfo\ and look in the appinfo.ini file (any old plain text editor will do). There will be a line there that says
CommercialUse=true
orfalse
.Hopefully in a future release of the PortableApps Platform there will be an option to filter out apps that are not allowed for commercial use.
Ok, thanks for the info.
Yes, it could be an interesting feature, as I often advise colleagues to use PortableApps.
You can always check on the Download Details of the app you want to use, in the Publisher there's always the name of the dev. and the link of their site or official site of the app, there you can almost always find the License part where you can read all the lines (and between), if is not clear or doesn't state anything about Commercial Use you can always mail them if you really want to know.
