PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format

Gnumeric Portable is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Platform including the Menu and Backup Utility.

this link leads to the download for 1.12.9, not 1.10.16

and it seems that something is not quite right with 1.12.9

i've been using 1.10.16 for quite some time, and use it
every day, no problems

using 1.12.9, updated an existing spreadsheet and tried to
save it, program locked up

tried again, but this time tried to print the file, program
crashed

re-installed 1.10.16, no problems

doesn't appear 1.12.9 is ready for prime-time

I've fixed the version info in the article.

I was able open/change/save an old spreadsheet without issue. When I printed it, it did print but the app crashed after. Have you tried the local version to see if it has the same issue? I know Gnumeric has had issues trying to get a workings Windows build for the last 2 years.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

thank you John

have not done a local install yet,
looked around their site for any
info on the odd behavior, no luck

so to get rolling again, just went
back to the stable 1.10.16

appreciate the insight on the "Windows build"
