Making winamp portable

so im trying to make winamp portable i was trying to do so with this tutorial

but seems it did not work

cause winamp have 2 folders

1st where winamp is stored
(this folder contains all winamp files and can be anywhere)

2nd where winamp settings are stored
(C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Winamp
this folder contains winamp settings and if its not there winamp will create it by it self)

my point is how to make that wianmp's appdata folder could be moved to main winamp folder and reeded from there ?

is there any other trick than shown here ?

i need it cause i often reinstall windows and now i just made SFX- self extractor from appdata folder which after execute is extracted to appdata folder and main winamp folder is always in c:\programs\winamp and i try to minimize things i need to do after re-installation to minimum

i could download pre made winamp portable but it comes in 1 single .exe file so i cant add plugins or skins

so any 1 know any trick that would help ?
