I installed the Standard version of PortableApps on a 1 GB USB key drive. It work nicely; kudos to the developers. However, when I try to install other apps -- specifically Nvu Portable and AbiWord Portable -- the installation process gets to about 60% (in both cases) and then freezes. I have to use the Windows Task Manager to kill the processes.
Any idea what's happening? And is there a way around it?

Thats just normal you have to wait for a little bit then it just continues. I had the same problem. Of course my computer is slow but it works for me. Give it a try and see if the wait works

Thanks for the reply.
I guess the extra couple of minutes that I waited (inadvertantly; had to go to the door) made a difference. The apps installed fine, though I recall the whole suite taking about that much time to install.
