Developing a portable App with registry keys

I've a nice program which has keys in the registry. I've found online following two documentation:
Dealing with the registry and Launcher - Registry.

I can now deal with the registry. But I look forward to set the correct Diretory-Pats in the registry on first start. How is this possible?
