I was wondering when the next Platform release was coming out because I noticed that the last platform release was 2 years ago in 2012. Is it still being developed or what? Did something happen?

The next beta is dropping in the next few days. It was due in December, but I got a bit sidetracked by an injury. I'd recommend using the beta over stable at the moment (with the theme set to Default or Default Dark and Silver) if you'd like a more modern look. It's quite stable.
