Hey guys,
I have installed the portable apps program onto my flash drive, but it is among many other things on my drive so the directory for the program is not in the root eg. X:\. I think this is causing issues with the program as my flash drive icon is the default 'broken' icon and I cannot change it. I have tried to edit the autorun.inf but to no avail. Any ideas??

If you edit the autorun.inf, changes don't take effect until you eject and reinsert or reboot.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I used the file Autorun.inf to change the USB key Icon.
But recently any change in the autorun.inf is flaged as a potential virus change and removed.
So the turnaround I found is changing the icon linked to by :
ICON=PortableApps\PortableApps.com\App\Graphics\usb.ico
