Older versions of Opera Portable in the 10.x series are unavailable. It is completely insecure and should not be used anyway. Unfortunately, no secure browser will run on Windows 98 SE any longer.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I don't mind it is "insecure", I know the "risk", but I don't have job/info/etc need "secure", I just need it "Work" !
So, again, can someone give me the last Opera Portable for win98se ?
Hello cnxgpptbap!
You can use the old versions of Opera@USB. But they are only for testing, like Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition Legacy Versions.
Warning! Do not use private data with outdated (insrcure!) Web browsers: usernames, passwords, homebanking codes etc.. They can be stolen! The risk is very high, especially when the computer is without real-time antivirus scanning!
You can a little increase security with a some Web services:
1. For browser home (start) page use Norton Safe Search. Use the links only with a green icon!
2. Unknown security links you can check in Norton Safe Web. Use the links only with a green icon!
3. Where to goes "shortened" (redirecting) links you can see in LongURL or URL Expander.
4. Security of the downloaded files and URL's you can check in VirusTotal.
Download: Opera@USB old Versions.
Unpack folder "opera1010usb" from ZIP archive, and place in X:\PortableApps\opera1010usb.
Good luck!
