SwatchBooker

Hello there PortableApps developers, I was wondering if one of y'all might like to take a stab at this cross platform program. Thank you in advance for any efforts made.

Program: SwatchBooker

License: GNU GPL v3

Description: Swatch book viewer, convertor, editor

Website 1: http://www.selapa.net/swatchbooker/

Website 2: https://launchpad.net/swatchbooker

Other: Due to the requirements (Python, PyQT4, LittleCMS, PIL; they are explained on website 1) all my efforts to make this run on Windows have failed. I figured one of you much smarter than me people could have a better chance.

Running at all or running portably?

It isn't clear to me if you can't get it to run at all or can't get it to run portably. If the former you'll need to talk to the developer. I've had a look at the selepa site and it would involve me installing a different version of python to the one I'm using / developing with at the moment.

Most people that already have python will be using the latest 2.* or 3.* depending on their requirements rather than 2.5 so it is quite a big ask for someone that already has python to go back and possibly and even bigger ask for someone that doesn't have python at all.

Just my 2p worth.

Not at all...

I can't get it to run at all, but I've never had any luck with Python on Windows. Chances are extraordinarily high that I'm doing something wrong. I would much rather have it portable though anyway. I honestly am not aware of how big an ask it is since I'm not a developer & know very little about what really goes into making an application portable. I was kind of thinking along the lines of "hey, GIMP Portable has Python included, maybe SwatchBooker could also". I no longer run a regular version of GIMP, just the portable version on my C: drive for that reason alone since now I can use Python scripts. Well, thanks anyway for the reply. Maybe I will try again to make SwatchBooker run.
