After installing the PortableApps suite (I love it by the way), when browsing My Computer in explorer my USB drive is called 'PortableApps (I:)' and has the PortableApps arrow icon. I'd like to be able to change both the icon and the name.
If I go into the drive's properties the name can be altered but it doesn't change the name in explorer. I'd also prefer to have either the default USB drive icon or even better, be able to customize the icon to something of my own choosing. I was wondering if this was possible.
Thanks
It was quite easy I just needed to play around with it more. If anyone else is interest the key is editing the Autorun.inf file.
Mine looks like this now:
[Autorun]
Open=PortableApps\PortableAppsMenu\PortableAppsMenu.exe
Action=Start PortableApps
Icon=PortableApps\Icons\USB.ico
Label=MyDrive
Where I transfered an icon named USB.ico to a new folder in PortableApps called Icons.
If anyone is interest I used the USB icon from here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/21732388/
Cool Icon - I am now using the same! Thanks!
I just changed the icon for the FFP browser window.

How do you go about doing that? I'm pretty computer illiterate.
Thanks!

I unzipped the PortableApps Basic on my primary root folder (c:\) just to a trial... and it had changed the primary hard drive and icon.
but, even after I deleted the PortableApps, the hard drive name still is "PortableApps" and the icon is "unknown file icon" (cuz was deleted the folder where was placed the PApps icon)...
hard drive properties doesn't work anymore
how I fix this?
tnx anyway
There's a hidden autorun.inf in the root of the drive that you need to delete.
