Call Kingston....

Support and ask them for the newest driver, tell them, the ones on their site don't work. I am sure they can help you out.

you might be able to remove

you might be able to remove u3, then use as normal drive.

Generic Driver

I dug up a generic driver that may work and posted about it here:
https://portableapps.com/node/4568

It may or may not work if you still have U3 installed since U3 only supports Windows 2000 and XP.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Win98SE clue!

It must be noted that while you may have gone to your usb thumbdrive manufacturer's site, downloaded their win98 driver for your particular model, installed the driver, rebooted.

... And still you cannot see your thumbdrive listed as F:\ under Start\Run\, click browse... Look in Removable Disk(F)

TO FIX: Run Add New Hardware from the Control Panel. Tick where it says I want to select hardware from a list. Select Universal Serial Bus Controller then pick HighSpeed USB Flash Disk.

REBOOT;

Right click MyComputer, choose properties, device manager, expand Universal Serial Bus controllers, under HighSpeed USB Flash Disk check the properties
Driver file details; update Driver if neccessary.
and look for your HighSpeed USB Flash Disk
This shows up under Disk Drives in the System Properties too, USB 2.0 Flash Disk. Check the properties, driver tab and Update Driver.

If all goes well... you'll see your Flash Disk listed when you browse or right click to view drives save to's etc...
