Did FreeOTFE and FreeOTFE Explorer used to be on the app section of this website?

Thank you.

abadoned?

This project seems to be abadoned long time ago.

The problem with it is that for proper operation it needs drives to be installed. This not only needs admin rights, but if the drivers are not properly signed, it is not possible for normal user to install it. Therefore it will then not work on current operating systems for many people.

I am using it

I am using it, but not installed for all users, only for my user. Any way, I am the administrator.

I use file containers, with a size a little less than the USB that contains it, to leave space to transfer files with the USB.

The purpose of having a cyphered container is to avoid losing customer and personal information in case my laptop is stolen.

Also, I avoided an entry in start menu. That way, I make difficult to a theft to identify the program.

Can't test on those systems, but...

In windows 7, there are an option to run a program with a compatibility option, set with file properties.
