At least it prompts and asks if you'd like to run it on WinXP SP2 (at least the default settings... unless they've been changed). If you have a different OS, you'll need to either:
1. Modify the registry
2. Install a program locally to watch for changes in plugged in devices and run it

I some of the XP SP2 PCs I use I get the standard popup with PAM as the default choice but on others the popup does NOT list PAM. So I have to scroll down to Open Folder and execute a link to PAM that I put in root for quick access.
Default is to show it. Some PCs have been changed from the default and will either not show what's specified in the autorun.inf. Some won't display a choice of what to do at all.
