All my bookmarks have disappeared

Hi,i opened up firefox portable(1.5.0.8)and it opened up three tabs for various extensions as if had updated them, which i hadn't.I clicked on 'home' and the default homepage appeared, as in google. My homepage is yahoo so i was a little surprised

All my bookmarks have disappeared too, there's no sign of them.Is there some way of retrieving them?Where the heck did they go!!?

Is it possible i've been hacked?I've read that if your homepage is changed then it means you've been hacked. My connection is routed through a hardware firewall router which i was told was secure.I also ran tests, such as 'pinging' my connection and i was invisible according to the results.

If you have any questions please ask.

Thanks,

Zino

Corruption

This usually indicates that your profile is corrupt. To be sure. Close Firefox. Bring up task manager and ensure that there are no copies of firefox.exe running. Then restart FirefoxPortable.exe and see if things come up.

If not, your profile was corrupted. Probably due to an unsafe eject. Or due to imminent device failure. Do not start it again. Browse to your FirefoxPortable\Data\profile folder and open up the bookmarks.html file. Check in the BookmarkBackups folder and open up those (or it may be files in the profile folder marked backup) to see if one of those has your bookmarks. Save that file elsewhere.

Post back at that point.

Speed test

Just tests speed. Not so much packet loss n stuff:

You can do continuous pings or something to test packet loss.
