This might sound silly. But how can I uninstall the apps that have been installed on the flash drive?

You just delete it. Each of the apps here is self-contained in a single directory. You just delete em. If you're using the PortableApps Menu... close it.... delete the app directory you want to remove... then restart the menu.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Wether I use the option to remove an application in the menu or go in using "my computer' and drill down to the directories I get the same result - an error message from windows that "another person or program is using this file" and it cannot be deleted. Everything is closed - nothing showing in the task bar. Only way I've found to get rid of something was to boot into linux - mount the drive - delete the files there - unmount it and then unplug the drive and reboot into windows - leaving the drive plugged in leads to problems with booting windows. For the record I'm using a 512MB PNY technology drive - I haven't tried other brands yet.
the only time that I've had that problem is when the Menu (PAM) was running, you might want to check in the Task Manager to make sure it is closed.

Next time I have reason to delete an app I'll give Task Manager a go and see if there is anything still running. Right now with the PAM closed and no icon showing on the task bar Task manager still shows Portable apps "running". At a guess that is why working from the "options" item in the menu going to "remove an app" isn't working. I'll have to play with it a bit - Edit to add -
Catch 22 - at least on my computer if you have the directory with the applications open - even working thru "my computer" - portable apps shows as running in Task Manager - shutting it down using "end task" also closes the window with the directories thus preventing you from deleting them. Same for starting at the options item in the PAM. Think that here after I'll start with the base menu and add only those items I want/need rather than try to edit the lite or full packages by removing anything.
