My USB drive (Sandisk Extreme 32gb) mounts as a local drive. The 12.0.2 update no longer lets me eject it via the launcher, instead it gives me the logout dialog.
Would it be possible to add an override option? Doesn't have to be in the GUI, this situation is rare enough that an INI option would probably suffice.
I figured some of these misconfigured USB drives would show up. I was going to wait until we get a proper GUI to switch between automatic mode (as we have now) vs manually selecting close, eject, minimize, close... but I think I'd like you to be able to use it properly before then. I'll include it as an INI override in the next release. I've added it to the list: https://portableapps.com/node/28593

Thanks mate, I appreciate the awesome work you're doing! Keep it up!
On some of my PA.c installations I don't really want an Eject or Shutdown/Logout button, any chance we could get an INI option to hide that button entirely?

You're free to just not use it at the moment. Theme-wise, it'll probably have to be there. But, once the GUI is ready, you'll be able to switch each button between "Automatic (Eject/Close), Eject, Close, Minimize", so for your situation, minimize and close would likely work well.
Getting a switch into the INI to ensure people are able to eject their drives is a bit more critical, which is why I rushed it in.

I understand, I was just thinking that it might be a good idea to implement the option as something like
SecondaryCloseButton
orLowerLeftButton
and the options could be some (or all) ofAuto
,Eject
,Shutdown
,Logout
,Lock
,Minimize
,Hidden
(and anything more you might decide to include).~3D1T0R
Can you configure a removable drive to display Logout, Shut Down, etc.? I have read multiple forum threads but I have not gotten a definite answer.

Not right now. Eventually, you'll be able to, as stated. Right now, we just added the 'force eject' option as an emergency stopgap for misconfigured USB drives that show up as local.

The coming features make me more excited than I was waiting for 12.0! Thank you for your work on PortableApps!

I've added this as an advanced option in 12.0.3 that was just pushed out. Details are here: https://portableapps.com/support/platform#advanced
