I just had a funny thought.
I guess some of the people that ask questions here that have been answered many, many, many times before like using the worlds slowest search engine.
PortableApps.com Search Engine: Just post your question then wait a few minutes, or maybe a few days. Or if your question is really silly, not understood or just not interesting then it might not get answered. Then one of our many "servers" (Ryan, Steve, John H, Bahamut, etc...) will answer your question.
I guess a lot of these people just like to wait for their results for a while. I am too impatient. I like to try and use the "instant" search tool first.

you know what's funny?
One of the "servers" (Bahamut) found a result within 3 minutes
I try and answer every question if I can.

I'm a very efficient server.

I'm not. I have to work my way through all the posts on the tracker. Keep in mind though, that I'm a few timezones behind, so I work through multiple pages o' topics.

Using the tracker is quite inefficient. I simply see what's new on the index and open the forums I like, and open the threads I like in each forum.
Vintage!
But you don't read every topic then

No need to. I'm here for my own amusement; I'm not a support rep.

But I still like to read every topic. On a side note, when I see a post by John and/or the regulars (yourself included) I click on it first.
Point 2: It's actually quite easy when you middle-click on links.

I never said it was hard.
And I do use tabs, so

Then why not?

I have over 30 tabs open ATM with Portable Apps stuff.

I'm not going to open a thread if I don't care about it.

just because you open it, doesn't mean you have to reply.

just because you don't have to read it, doesn't mean you shouldn't read it
Anyway, the point is, it's more efficient to read every post.

It's a more efficient use of my time to only read the threads I care about.
