Nice job you did there. Just one thing I found. Add this line to the InstagifferPortable.ini:
[DirectoriesMove]
Data=%PAL:AppDir%\Data

A better way…

A better way would be to change App\DefaultData\instagiffer.conf: [paths]:workingDir to ..\..\Data so that it goes to the right place to begin with.

1.54 released

imgur now supports up to 50MB gifs http://imgur.com/blog/2014/10/09/introducing-gifv/

I found some things which need improvements:

  • Move [Details]:AppID=InstagifferPortable under [Details]:Name
  • [Details]:Publisher=Justin Todd & PortableApps.com
  • [Details]:Homepage=https://portableapps.com/node/42421
  • [Version]:PackageVersion=1.52.0.0
  • [Control]:ExtractIcon should be omitted
  • Appicon needs more formats it's only 8-bit see
  • File Other\Source\AppSource.txt is not needed
  • File Other\Source\License.txt can be moved to App/AppInfo and renamed to EULA.txt
  • File Other\Source\Readme.txt can be moved to App/Instagiffer
  • Default License.txt and Readme.txt should be placed in Other\Source\

A few corrections:

Actually:

  • App\AppInfo\appinfo.ini: [Details]:PackageVersion should be lower than the base app's version number for Development Test releases
    It should then be 'bumped up' to match the base app's version number for an official release, so that the PA.c Updater will offer the update.
  • [Details]:Homepage=PortableApps.com/node/42421
    (no "http://")
  • Other\Source\AppSource.txt may not be necessary, but is fine as it is
  • Other\Source\License.txt is exactly where it should be (it's the base app's license), unless you want the user to have to click "I Agree" to be able to install (In which case it's a EULA and should be moved as mwayne says)
  • 'Default' License.txt should be present as LauncherLicense.txt, as it's the license for the Launcher
  • Other\Source\Readme.txt is fine as it is

The download link doesn't work. If you could please change it to sourceforge or the like it would be great. Instagiffer looks like a great app but I really want it to be portable.

Maybe it's a temporary problem

No single download link on their page works atm. On the other hand, this dev test is outdated. Perhaps rthe developer lost his interest...

The download link is dead now (should point here instead.), and it seems that you've posted new versions of Instagiffer.
Is there any chance you'll update the Portable version to 1.73?

Also, FYI:

PortableApps.com Format validation failed with 2 errors and 5 warnings.

Errors

  • File Other\Source\LauncherLicense.txt is missing
  • Development Test releases should use the Development Test Splash Screen
    This can be replaced with a Portable specific splash screen once the app is made official.

Warnings

  • App\AppInfo\appinfo.ini: keys in [Details] are out of order (refer to documentation for correct order)
  • App\AppInfo\appinfo.ini: [Control]:ExtractIcon should be omitted unless required for legal reasons
  • App\AppInfo\Launcher\InstagifferPortable.ini: [Launch]:ProgramExecutable case does not match target exe name
  • App\AppInfo\installer.ini: [CheckRunning]:CloseEXE should be omitted if referring to the same exe that the launcher launches
  • App\AppInfo\installer.ini: [Languages] should be omitted if the only language is the same as App\AppInfo\appinfo.ini: [Details]:Language

Information

  • Suggested file App\AppInfo\appicon_75.png is missing
