FileZilla: Can I have 3.9.0.1 - without auto-update (for my XPs) installed along side the newer version?

I still plug into some XP machines.

Is there anyway that I can have FileZilla ver. 3.9.0.1 or 3.8.x (for my XPs) installed along side the newer FileZilla version that will no longer run on XP?

And if so, is there any way to disable the auto-update on the "XP" version so that it "stays" on my thumb drive?

Thanks!

Rename Directory

Install it and rename the directory to FileZillaPorableXP and the platform updater will ignore it. Then install the standard version alongside. Note that the old version is insecure and should no longer be used.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

FileZilla Portable for XP

THANK YOU, SIR!

I understand the insecurity [smile] - but I need it to run on XP sometimes. So I'll just have to be as careful as I can.
