installation! (not)

I downloaded the platform (12.0.5) but when I went tp oprn the apps, it was empty. I also got an error saying the program couldn't connect with portableApps.com to get my apps. I did this WHILE connected to the download site. WTF! What am I doing wrong? I found another usb drive with PA on it and when I opened it, I got the same message. I KNOW I have apps and data on it but can't get at it. What am I doing wrong?

SourceForge issue

Hello breodis!

It is a SourceForge issue, not Platform.

If we clicking the Site Status (and some other links on bottom of the page):
http://sourceforge.net/blog/category/sitestatus/
then we come to - Page not found - SourceForge.net:
http://sourceforge.net/error-404.html

The sourceforge.net website is temporarily in static offline mode.
Only a very limited set of project pages are available until the main website returns to service.

You will have to wait, while problem get fixed.

Not a Sourceforge issue

The Platform saying it cannot connect to PortableApps.com has nothing to do with Sourceforge, this means it failed trying to get the updater database file which is from our own servers.

Always running

Oh yes, we never see the Platform notice "Unable to connect to SourceForge.net to retrieve portable apps. Please try again later." Smile

App location

You said you already have apps on that drive - are they in subdirectories under X:\PortableApps ?
