How to disable splash screen of firefox portable v34.0.5?

Hi! Just downloaded and run FF portable and its all fine except for some plug-ins that disappeared after syncing like the bamboo feed reader that should have been positioned at the left of the "back" button. But this is not the issue. I need to disable the splash screen that pops out while starting FF portable. There is no Launcher folder at /FFportable/App/Appinfo/ nor did I found any FFportable.ini file anywhere (except from the example file located at /others).

So may someone just please kindly point-out how to disable the splash screen?

Same As All Apps

It works the same as all the other apps. You take the example INI from Other\source, copy next to FirefoxPortable.exe, and set it to disable the splash screen. This is detailed in the readme.txt within Other\Source. The readme.txt is linked to within the help.html file in the root directory of the app.

You can also disable nearly all of them just by ticking the Hide Splash Screens box in the PortableApps.com Platform. Note that this won't disable splashes that the base apps themselves use to show app loading progress (LibreOffice, GIMP, etc).

Note that you should never be opening the App\AppInfo\Launcher directory and messing with it as an end user. This isn't for user changes and anything you do will be wiped out on each upgrade.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Solved

Maybe I just wasn't able to read the readme file very well. But following your instructions here made it work. No more splash screens.
