After 9 months of reporting, this bug it's still present on latest stable GoogleChromePortable 45.0.2454.93

This is fixed in Google Chrome Portable 45.0.2454.99 Stable as well as 64-bit test. It will be rolled into the next Beta and Dev channel releases as well.
The reason this fell through the cracks earlier was that it lacked [Bug] at the beginning of the subject, so it didn't show up on the bug tracker on the Development page.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
