I'm sure this is in a FAQ or document. Alas I could not find it searching with Google or the Forums here.
On Windows 8.1 how do I turn off the 'pinned' icon that Windows puts on the left side of the screen when Portable Apps is running?
I didn't 'pin' the icon it just comes up when Portable Apps is started at boot.
The icon is in the tray on the right where it should be. I don't want it on both places.
Right Click and choose unpin?
Or do you mean it is on task bar?

It is not 'pinned' so unpining it doesn't really help. Also it would come back on the next reboot would it not?
When you start up any program on Windows 8.1 it shows up along the bottom left of the screen. I don't want Portable Apps showing up there, as it is already in the tray on the right side of the screen.
The reason I asked for specifics read Gord's Post
