Firefox https problem? : Error code: sec_error_bad_signature.

Was using Firefox Portable the other day and my sessions got screwed up so I decided to delete all the files and install the latest version fresh. Most of the https sites I went to gave me the error: sec_error_bad_signature, which I found out was something to do with certification validation. I read more on it and turns out that turning off https scanning in Avast solved my problem, but I'm not sure if this is a safe solution or something that is a bug by Firefox.

Anyone else have this problem? I don't really feel safe turning https scanning off and Firefox previously worked without me having to do that. Thanks.

Interference

Any antivirus intercepting your HTTPS traffic is correctly detected as the ultimate connection coming into the browser having been messed with. If you really want your traffic scanned, you can manually install the Avast certificate which can be used to masquerade as any site on the internet and may break upcoming certificate pinning abilities in browsers, you can do so. Personally, I don't let my antivirus scan browser traffic. It causes more problems than it corrects.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
