Hi,
What is the different between opening new profile with "firefoxportable.exe -p" parameter and "2nd profile" app which is on the portableapps.com app directory?
Thank you

Please can somebody help me.. :/ I need to know if Firefox 2nd works fully independed (like Freifox ESR or FirefoxDeveloperEdition) from Firefox?
Or it just simply starts a new profile ?
-p is completely unsupported by Firefox Portable as it conflicts with its own use of the parameter. Firefox, at any point, could start supporting the 1st vs the 2nd in the same call since they would both be passed.
FFP 2nd Profile uses a separate instance of everything, so it is more separate than a single install of FFP using -p but less separate than a full 2nd install of FFP (aka two full installs of the app and profiles).
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
What does the "-p" flag mean for FirefoxPortable.exe?
Like everything else, it's just passed through to firefox.exe. So, it winds up getting two separate -p arguments on the command line and will choose which it ignores.

Well, that's what I always thought it was doing--just passing the parms to Firefox. Your "it conflicts with its own use of the parameter" made me think something else might be going on. I guess right there you were really referring to Firefox and not Firefox Portable(?).
