just a simple question from my inquiring mind...
(maybe posted before, sorry if repeated)
Can the AutoRun of PortableApps, when the flash disk is plugged in, be disabled?

It's the type that asks you by default rather than automatically running. And you can set it not to ask you by editing the hidden autorun.inf file in the root directory. You can just delete the open= line to have it not ask to run the menu. (Though Windows XP may still scan the drive on insertion and ask if you want to open photos, etc).
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I see...
Thank you
Oh, I'm thinking of changing to PortableApps from U3

Do it, I have and haven't looked back. The U3 launcher is slow, kludgy, and restrictive of what programs you can use with it. Had I known that this site existed before I bought the U3 drive, I wouldn't have even bothered buying it.
I agree. Exactly the same experience - why pay for U3 apps, when all the good ones are free anyway?
