µTorrent was under heavy fire recently for "secretly" installing a Bitcoin miner program called Epic Scale.
They stated on record it's not done anymore, but were/are PortableApps users safe from it?

Apps in PortableApps.com Format aren't permitted to include bundleware. uTorrent's "installer" feature is bypassed in uTorrent Portable, so it can't be installed and you'd never even be presented an option whether to install it or not.
