It is an extension called Firefly it adds a filemanager to Firefox Portable (much like Konqueror). You can open files with other portable software!!! Like when I tried to open a Presentation with OpenOffice Impress Portable via Firefly it worked, also this works with opening Word Docs and other doc formats with OpenOffice Writer Portable (not sure about AbiWord Portable though).
But here is the link to this wonderful extension! https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/3076/
I have it installed, but I don't use it much. It's a bit slow. If the speed improves in future releases, I'll use it a lot more.

Well I am addictited to it myself since I can use Portable apps to open my files. The reason I posted it here is because I thought everyone else that uses Portable FF should know of this since Firefly is giving us the ability of opening files with our other Portable Apps.
Seems reasonable to conclude that if one already *has* a portable File Mgr (A43 and the like), one could simply use its menus to associate types of docs/files WITH the preferred portable proggies already on one's stick.
Or, are you saying the Firefly has some sort of onboard (built in) file viewer, so that one doesn't NEED to have, say, portable OpenOffice or whatever on one's stick?... (If so, that's quite an accomplishment indeed - although we'd like to know what the breadth is of its native file format support...)

a43 uses Explorer APIs, and if it has the ability to open files with programs other than the system default, it's well hidden (except for the image and hex viewers and the text editor it has built-in).

A43 also has some onbaord archive ability as well, as I recall - zip and one or tweo other compression filetypes. Hard to recall, exactly, as I use Powerdesk 6 Free portably, I only use A43 when PD 6 isn't handy.

Preacher... the Firefly is heavily customizeable like you can add any app to Firefly's open with menu. So it is very suitable for users of stuff like OpenOffice Portable, VLC Portable and so on. And Firefly is also a file manager/viewer which is also customizable (like icon size.). Just Think of Firefly as merging Firefox and Konqueror.
Man, would I ever like to be able to use Knoqueror under Windows! I know its possible, but every writeup I've ever seen looks to be more trouble than it's worth (having to install Cygwin and such). I'd rather just use separate web and file browsers than hafta go thru that...

Ewww, Cygwin.
BTW, "Knoqueror" FTW! Much better than Konqueror

Same here. Let's all bug 'em until they make a W32 build!
