Creating multi size icon

Does anyone know how to create an ico file but with multiple size icons inside.

I noticed that portableapps comes wiht icons that contain about 5 different sizes in one single icon file.

Ideally instructions that mean i can use 32bit images with transparancy.

I use GIMP

to export my PNGs as ICOs then use CombineIcons to merge them into one.
Produces fairly good quality too.

Found an excellent site with

Found an excellent site with a photoshop plugin for ICO files so you can read and save them along wiht a simple program which will combine several ico's into one file.

Also checked out http://www.axialis.com/ and their icon editor, it really is fantastic but its commercial.

@icon sushi

Try @icon sushi v 1.20b. If you already have the .ico files, you can drag & drop them and save all of them as one .ico file. If you do not have the .ico files yet, you can drop .exe, .dll, etc. to extract them. I believe that you can also edit the icons.

Freeware. It is naturally portable if you follow the instructions at the below website. Can be UPX'ed and if you delete the other language files, it is less than 400kb on the USB drive.

I use this program along with Portable Applications Template 1.4 to build portable launchers.
