reccomended apps?

I am wondering what apps would be reccomended for data recovery, anti spyware/virus. and general computer maintainance.

please reccomend some (my thumb is 1GB)

Oh, so glad that Spybot can

Oh, so glad that Spybot can run from a USB drive! I've already put Hijack This on it, but had assumed that Spybot wouldn't work.
