Hiccups with A-Data usb drive.

I am trying to make sure this issue is not something I can fix with a setting before contacting the manufacture of the drive. What happens is that during scrolling or new page loads Firefox will stall during access to the drive. There are no crashes or anything it's just a slight annoyance. It may just be the way the drive works too but I wanted to be sure before I complain to A-Data.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I had a typo up there "Firefix" I just thought it was funny and wanted to share.

Drive Speed / 2.0

It may be the drive speed coupled with Firefox 2.0. You can try the suggestions here:

I whent through all the

I went through all the suggested speed ups. The problem still exists. This drive is supposed to be one of the fastest on the market. It's a 1G A-Data RB15 ( http://www.adata.com.tw/adata_en/product_detail.php?ProductNo=AR15120BK ). Is there a good program to test the speed of the drive? It seems to be very bad when typing in these text boxes. My old sandisk does not have this problem but it gets incredibly hot.

Extension?

Did you install any of the problematic extensions (Tabbrwoser Extension, etc)?

no extensions are installed

no extensions are installed that are not installed by default. So just the DOM inspector. I am thinking more and more that it is the drive. I just need a app that can test it doing simultaneous reads as that seems to be when the drive has issues.
So that's what I'm looking for now.
