Firefox U3 version 1.5.0.70 and RoboForm2Go version 6.8.4.0 do not work together

I installed Firefox U3 version 1.5.0.70 and RoboForm2Go U3 version 6.8.4.0 on Cruzer Micro U3 Flash Drive.

Now, every time I try to login to web sites via RoboForm2GoI, I am getting the following error message:

"Mozilla Firefox for U3 cannot be started. You may wish to re-install to fix this issue.(Error: The program could not be found: I:\System\Apps\..."

Anyone else experienced the same problem?

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Mark

Unsupported

If any other U3 program attempts to launch FF for U3 for you, that program is in violation of the U3 certification guidelines. There is no way for one U3 app to launch another and this will, in fact, have annoying side effects.

In short, you'll have to ask Roboform.

It calls for Firefox because

It calls for Firefox because I chose it as login browser in RoboForm.
BTW, it works just fine with IE

Use Non-U3 Versions

Use the Non-U3 versions of Firefox Portable and RoboForms2Go.
I did some preliminary testing and it seems to work.
You will have to select show all drives in roboforms2go and install to c: then move to U3 drive as the non-u3 version will not allow install to a U3 drive.
You must move
c:\My RoboForm Data
c:\PortableRoboForm.exe
c:\RoboForm
I would copy them to a new folder in the portable apps folder personally.
Then if you want Firefox and Roboforms on the U3 menu use my Shortcut Creator 4U3

Yes you can use U3 versions of FFP and RF2GO

This DOES work Smile You can get RF2GO to load Firefox, open a new tab and login

I started with a 1G Kingston U3 that had RoboForms2Go already installed. I updated it to the latest (6.8.4). Then I downloaded Firefox 1.5.0.7 and updated it to 1.5.0.10. You need to get the browser plug in to enable the RoboForm toolbar in Firefox. Check the browser section of Roboform's site and get the roboform-firefox-1.5.xpi. Launch Firefox from the U3 launchpad and go to Open File and load the .xpi file. Now the toolbar should work after restarting Firefox. Lastly we want to be able to click any passcard and launch Firefox or open a new tab. To do this go into the Options menu in Roboform and choose Portable Firefox in the Login Browser section. The problem now is that when you click a passcard you get a "File not found, reinstall Firefox message" Everything we need is already on the U3 drive, we just need to make a copy and put in in the location requested. First open a DOS prompt and go to the drive letter of your U3 drive (the one with documents in the root). Now use Attrib -h *.* /s /d to unhide the system folder and files. Go back to windows explorer and you should find the subdirectory indicated by the previous error message. Go and find the location of the Firefox directory and copy all of it under the "Exec" folder. Next, copy the "Profile" directory under "Data" in the same folder. Now when you click a passcard the software should find Firefox and load the Profile automatically. It works! Right now I'm using 1.5.0.10 but I suspect I can load the 2.0.0.2 version into the same folders and get it to work. Hope this helps !

U3 launches firefox 2.0.0.2 !!!

Yes, you can install the 2.0.0.2 portable firefox to the U3 drive and then copy both the Firefox directory and the Profile directory over to the Data and Exec folders of the RoboForm U3 folder and the Firefox U3 folder. Works perfectly!!
