Also can easily be used across systems, Windows, Unix, Linux. Once its set up, it can be used for running full stealth on port probes, changing HTTP headers, IP masquerading, cookie reply, and blocking ads.
This program is not out-of-box, takes some work to set it up. Junkbuster is Free Software.

Did you know that the entire operating system use to fit on a 5 1/4" floppy disk!
Binding to a specific nic,..
If you have more than one network card, i.e. a wireless and a wired lan
you can bind(force) it to use a specific nic
Why would I want to do that?
Lets say your at work on the "corporate network" and they have sites and such blocked. i.e. Instant Message or Webmail
But you have a wireless card in your laptop.
You can bind a proxy to the wireless card and set PFF or Gaim to use the proxy and get to any site you want.
All without the network admins knowing your doing it as no requests go through the "corporate network"

Junkbusters is still your best chance for a potable one. AnalogX has one, but I never used it. As for binding, it's just a matter of telling both nic and proxy where to find each other. Then the default setting for programs is LocalHost at port 8080, of course that can be changed.
The other option is to use 'Anonymous Proxy Servers' or Public proxy servers.
for a list of 2050 working proxies see: proxy.org
As for Admin not knowing what your doing.... good luck.. Junk was the only one that came close to a 'firewall/proxy' server to hide behind.

you can use Tunnelier, which includes its own Proxy. It has a "binding" IP address in its options, but not sure if that's what you're after.
You can get portable version of Tunnelier (PAF format) here: http://www.vbap.com.au/pafdev
(Is shameless plugging of ones own work permitted in these forums???)
Not sure what you mean about binding.. but this is the only proxy I know of that can be made portable.
