Dont even know if there is such thing anyway, but the problem is that in my school the system tray has been disabled so when i close certain apps like limewire, msn, ceedo etc their aint no way i can get them back without oppening it again.
You are here
Is there any portable system task manager viewer?
There's a program called "ProcessExporer" by Sysinternals, which works fine on my stick without any installation.
I don't know the exact download location, so just google a bit.
Microsoft acquired Sysinternals in July, 2006.
The utilities can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/default.mspx

Insanity is hereditary, you get it from your children
They all write to the registry at HKCU\Software\Sysinternals\{program name}.
And the first time you run them, they create a DWORD entry for EulaAccepted. Many of the programs also store settings in the registry.
Still, they are so useful that I don't mind.
Soembody want to wirte a luancher
please?
I like DTaskManager.
That page also has other useful software such as HDHacker, DShutdown also seems interesting
*Auslogics SysInfo (it can be used portably)

you dig into your system32 folder then you can find the task manager executeable file. it is fully self contained, i dont know about drive writes but i would assume nothing more than general things that would write if the admin was acsessing it on his account. from what i know thogh it should not. i also have it and can e-mail it to you if you dont want to dig in your system32 folder. it will be the one wor win2k thogh because it will work on 2000 & XP.
possibly illegal. If anything, just post the address to it in your computer, and let him figure it out.
i will fid it again and post it later. i also dont see how it would it would be illegal for one certified windows user to email a utility that comes with windows and that the recipientis a certified user and already has in his/her comp. thogh i do see how microsoft could take that the wrong way.
You can't be to careful with microsoft. (let's not start spats again.)
I see your point, but still, you can't be to careful
C:\WINDOWS\system32
then scroll down until you find taskmgr.exe
exactly, then copy it to your drive.
do you think that microsoft would say that it is illegal to carry around your own copy of windows task manager??
no, but emailing a copy to somebody would possibly be. Let's stay on the safe side.
Is there one that could pause task and not only end ones that r not responding.
i don't think window$ taskmanager could do that.
