Installing it, copying the install directory, and then uninstalling it to see how portable it is by default?
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
not really, i'll give it a shot and post the outcome.
I tried doing what you said and it works if i change a couple of settings in an ini file, the first setting is ez, all that i do is change the location of the bin file (i changed it to a realtive path rather than absolute), the second thing i gotta do is change the root directory. my question is how do i give a relative path to C:\\Program Files\\wings3d_0.98.34 so that it works on my usb or anywhere else?
All you need is an NSIS launcher. NSIS easily supports writing to INI files.
