i use portable firefox on the university computers, where there's the "normal" version of firefox, too. do you think that using portable firefox on those pc's can create any conflicts, such as the portable firefox settings are copied on the normal version?
it would be under known issues.

Ah! Your university computers have firefox already installed, im so jealous. Anyways, this is something simular i found that happens, say you have 2 usb drives, one with portable firefox and the other with portable firefox from the portable apps suite, and when you run the first firefox from either usb, then second firefox from the other usb will accually just copy the apperance & everything about the first firefox and also access the first usb to run.
The Portable FF in the suite is a slightly older version that doesn't check for another instance. FF only allows one instance at a time to be running unless you change an environment variable. There is an option in the launcher's INI file to do this.
