I know that, in general, Windows XP doesn't autorun USB drives when they are plugged in. I have just bought a new U3 drive which does autorun via the fancy U3 menu stuff.
What I don't particularly want to do is to buy into the whole U3 thing, with U3 versions of apps, etc. For example, I have a portable password manager, which is not U3 compatible. I'm happy with it, and I don't really feel the need to change to a different one.
So rather than do so, I'd like to just use the U3 autostart mechanism to kick off my (non-U3) stuff. Is this possible? Even just running a single VBScript file on plugin which does all of the remaining hard work would be fine.
Thanks,
Paul
You can use my Shortcut Creator 4U3 to add shortcuts to your non-u3 apps to the U3 launchpad, then set the launchpad to autostart them.

That's exactly what I want. Thanks for that.
