Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it if it was. I cannot shut down 12.05, when there are no updates, as the updater never exists on it's own. If there is an update, it completes, and I can shut down the main program without a problem. But if there aren't any, then the updater process just sits there, and I have to end task tree to get the program to close. Is there a solution for this, short of turning off auto updates?
Thanx

It is OK with WinXPSP3 and Win8.1 systems here. What is your combination of Apps?

Could you supply some more details about your install including Windows version, 32-bit vs 64-bit, full install path, type of drive installed to, any antivirus/antimalware running, any software firewall running, whether you use a proxy, etc please. It should exit out after it detects no updates are available and does on all my test machines.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
It's happening on mulitiple systems. All are Windows 7 Pro, all the 64 bit version. Different AV programs (Malwarebytes with AV Pro, Corp McAfee. The Portable Apps directory inside OneDrive, but it also does it from a USB key as well.No proxies. Network firewall unknown, only Windows firewall at home. Behavior is the same on all three systems.
I just ran it from a key, and there were no updates, but the PortableAppsUpdater.exe never goes away.
Let me know what other info you might need.
