ThunderbirdPortable uses the same storage as conventional Thunderbird. i.e. there is no reason for you to seek help in this regard here rather than in a more general Thunderbird forum were there are likely to be a broader range of experienced people that can help you. We are not turning you away, we are saying that in a situation like this you want Thunderbird experts *not* ThunderbirdPortable experts.
Copy and rename your TB directory and don't use the copy, every use deteriorates it.
Personally I'd reach for my backups rather than my wallet for snakeoil software.
