Just ran the portable version of iobit uninstaller and it writes entries to the appData roaming folder:
IOBit/PPMain.ini
IOBit/IObit Uninstaller/UninstallHistory.ini
IOBit/IObit Uninstaller/SoftwareCache.ini
IOBit/IObit Uninstaller/Main.ini
IOBit/IObit Uninstaller/DistrustPlugin.ini
IOBit/IObit Uninstaller/BCleanerdb
Is there a setting I missed? Otherwise this needs removing from the site.
I tested it under Windows XP and Windows 7 and it's clean here. Note that all of those files will exist locally while the app is running and the app can take a while to close on some systems after the window has been closed. What OS, install path, etc?

Hi John,
I have Windows 8.1 64Bit.
Doesn`t matter how long I leave it after closing the app, the files remain. I have the software at:
C:\Portable-Software\IObitUninstallerPortable/
I deleted all the files, did a reboot, went into the appData folder and the follow appeared:
IOBit/IObit Uninstaller/ProcessCache.ini
I deleted it and a second later it came back. This is without even running the software. I went into Task Manager and the software was still running. Not sure why?
Anyway, killed the software, ran it again, all files came back, plus two additional folders

UMLog
So, another issue is the software doesn`t completely close, it keeps running in the background. I moved the files to a USB drive and it`s still the same. Nice software, but I think I`ll remove it for now.
I just tested it on my Windows 8.1 x64 machine and it worked without incident here as well. So, it's something specific with your PC rather than a general bug affecting Windows 8.1.
What process remains running? What antivirus and software firewall is running on your PC?

The 'IObitUninstallerPortable.exe' file is still running. I closed the software several hours ago, but according to Task Manager. 'IObitUninstallerPortable.exe' is running. So, it doesn`t seem to close when you click close.
Avast anti virus free and the windows firewall is all I use. I don`t have issues with any other portable apps btw and one of them is the Wise Uninstaller and that`s fine. Another weird thing is I had a pop up appear by the clock from ioBit saying some residual files were left over. I haven`t even uninstalled anything with it. When I clicked it it said there was nothing to remove.
Thats ok John, don`t worry about it. I`ll just stick to Wise.
Thanks for all the hard work you put into these apps btw, it`s very much appreciated.
Are there any other processes running for the app itself? Like IObitUninstaler.exe or similar? The only reason the launcher would still be running is if the app itself were. Any chance you could try again and screenshot that message? I'd like to try and sort this out. If not, that's not a problem.
