is there any way to reset file associations to system defaults?
Using windows 8.1 ?
I did many things with file-assocator-portable... Now I need to reset all system defaults...

Thanks for you comment. But I had found this page before.. But It explains to recover all formats one by one. I need to restore all file associations at once.
If I will create new user on Windows now, the new user will have all file associations as default. That means windows saves somewhere (or somehow) the default associations.
have you had a look in registry? there you will find all, you cann see the differencies betwenn the userrs there too

Sorry, but you messed with them One-By-One, you have to mend them One-By-One.
There is no back-up of the Defaults issued with a 'clean' Windows system because that would have to overwrite the Registry and remove all file associations including those a user might want to keep .
Look at it as a lesson learned rather than a chore!
