I have a Lenovo B50 that boots in EFI Boot mode and will not boot linux from a usb flash drive. I've tried enabling legacy boot in the bios it still wont boot of usb and its very slow what do I need to do to get my usb flash drive to work?
Thanks. aamcle
Unfortunately, that doesn't really fall into our expertise. This site is about carrying Windows apps on flash drives or cloud drives and using them on many already-booted machines.
You'll likely have better luck searching in linux and/or IBM forums for your specific question.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
You need to turn off the Secure Boot option in the BIOS.
An app that supports creating Linux drives that boot in UEFI systems is named Easy2Boot. Google it and you should be fine.
Yes, a little out of the Portable App venue but hey we're all friends.
