If you install the full set of apps plus the test, beta, alpha, development, etc versions for apps that have multiple 'channels' available (Chrome, Firefox, LibreOffice, etc) you wind up with 368 apps (and climbing) at about the 16GB mark not including data.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Which Portable Apps are mutually exclusive? I can think of a few that won't run at the same time, is that what you mean? However, just because you can't run them at the same time doesn't mean you can't install them together, nor does it mean that you can't use one sometimes, and another at other times.
Have you had experiences that indicate otherwise?
[Regarding offensive content: I didn't see your post till after it had been edited, but part of what has always drawn me to PortableApps.com is that people are generally polite and respectful, and that just about everyone types like they know how to speak (i.e. in complete sentences). Let's keep it that way please.]
You don't know his motives. I can think of some good reasons to keep a collection of all Portable Apps on one thumb drive. Thinking again, I also am inclined to collect interesting apps, even if I barely use them...
This topic is over any further comments not related to thread will be removed. Original question was size of PortableApps. rest of the comments other than John's are irrelevant to original question

Now, time to load "the USB drive of... Um... life?"
You do *not* want all of them, some are mutually exclusive after all
