How to message an admin/moderator?

I'd like to ask a top-tier person (whoever has the power to edit others' comments for moderation purposes; I'm not really sure who that would be) a question.

But it seems everyone has the email option or whatever disabled. So how would I go about contacting the necessary individual?

Thanks.

None exists, IRC

We don't have a messaging function on the website. However, if you have a question that you don't want to post on the site, you can ask me on our IRC channel: https://portableapps.com/support/chat

I'll be logged on there momentarily.

Many thanks to both of you! ^_^

Also, what is the time zone these fora go by? :/

Certainly not UTC-4, that's for sure. xD

You're welcome, 24 hours

You're welcome.

The forums are available 24 hours a day. With that said, currently most of the moderators are based in North America.

Even though that's the case, personally my schedule changes regularly, so I may be on the site at any time of day or night.

Additionally, there are other users based elsewhere in the world whom are also willing to help answer your questions.

For all practical purposes, they are the same...

but technically they're different. UTC is based on an internationally coördinated timekeeping operation by multiple facilities utilising atomic clocks (hence the name, Coordinated Universal Time), whilst GMT was based on primarily one facility (Greenwich Observatory, hence the name Greenwich Mean Time) and was based on astronomical, not atomic, observations.

Anyway, that's not what I meant. I meant what time zone are the timestamps displayed on the site in?

Thanks! =^_^=

quick question to get quick answer

What time do you see your message time stamped?

I see
September 28, 2015 - 5:36pm

Which is gmt-5 as I am in East coast US

On side note if you go to My Account on left and click on it then choose edit you can choose time zone for your account, which then puts the time stamps relative to your log in

For the one titled "For all practical purposes"

it says, "September 28, 2015 - 9:36pm".

so there ya go

the time you see it is 4 hours ahead of when it was psotsted Smile hope that helps? AFAIK the times you see are dependent on what time one you are registered in the forum on as determined in your account settings.
