I noticed the other day that in one PA installation the icons associated with LibreOffice were all listed while in another case only one showed up. In the instance where only one icon was showing I found that, in PortableAppsMenu.ini there was a line:
ShowSingleIconForMultiIconApps=true
In the PortableAppsMenu.ini in the other installation there was no such line. (Adding it fixed the problem.)
Comparing the two PortableAppsMenu.ini files there seemed to be a number of differences. My guess is that this file does not get updated when the platform is updated. Is that true? If so, is there somewhere where I could find a copy of the latest version of
PortableAppsMenu.ini which contained all the options? I suppose I could find an empty USB sitck and so an install with the latest version but just being able to grab a file and do a compare in a text editor would be easier.

The only way that INI option can be changed is if you manually open the file and enter it. The GUI for it hasn't been created. It's a legacy feature that will likely get removed anyway since it's so easy to find.
There are multiple manual entries that can be made as described here:

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
