Since 43.01, Firefox fails to locate any application updates. I am on 64 bit (Win7). The firefox process running is the 64bit version
To replicate:
1. Download FirefoxPortable_43.0_English.paf.exe and unpack
2. Go to Help>About>Check for updates, it will detect an update to 43.01 (and if you go ahead it will work)
3. Download FirefoxPortable_43.0.1_English.paf (or use the updated version from above) and unpack
4. Go to Help>About>Check for updates - it will find no updates
(but there IS a 43.02, we know this for certain)
5. Download FirefoxPortable_43.0.2_English.paf and unpack
6. Go to Help>About>Check for updates - it will find no updates (and there is meant to be a 43.03 available)
I have three folders here
Firefox-4300, Firefox-4301, Firefox-4302

unfortunately I can't seem to save any edits, and the message stopped displaying part way thru due to me using a less-than sign (start of a tag), so here is the rest of the message
I have three folders here
Firefox-4300, Firefox-4301, Firefox-4302 all clean unpacked PAFs. I have run FreeFileSync comparisons on the various *\App\Firefox64\ directories, and there are definitely changes to some files - they are different sizes. I ran this check because I thought maybe the 43.02 and 43.03 were only 32bit issues that were fixed.
I want the internal updater to work. I don't want to download a paf every time
