It's working here on a clean install of Firefox Portable 45.0.1. Please try a clean install to some other directory (just to Desktop is fine) and see if it works clean. Then you'll know whether its your settings/extensions or your machine/youtube account. If the clean install works, you can then try logging into your Google/YouTube account and see if the embedded version still works on that page to rule out a setting with your YouTube account. At that point, you'll know it's something with your settings/extensions. That will be a bit more complex and is not portable-specific. So, you'll need to try starting in safe mode to rule out extensions. If that works, it's an extension issue and you'll need to try them starting with all disabled and re-enabling one by one. If that still fails with extensions disabled, it's a setting and you'll need to poke around in about:config and determine what it is.

Two plugins handle video encoding and licensing over streaming and WebRTC: OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc. and Primetime Content Decryption Module provided by Adobe Systems, Incorporated. They are automatically installed and enabled when you run Firefox Portable unless you have somehow disabled them.

Adobe Primetime is available on Windows Vista/7/8/10 for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Firefox. Mac OS X, Linux and Windows XP are currently not supported.

I didn't realize the standard plugin didn't support Windows XP. Sorry about that.
You'll be able to play some HTML5 video but not all. Firefox on XP supports WebM and Theora video formats but not H.264. So, you'll be able to use a chunk of YouTube (that link you sent the first YouTube video plays in HTML5 mode with no Flash plugin installed) but you won't be able to play video from sites that use H.264 (as you saw with that other video).
Since you're using XP, you don't really have any other options as Chrome is being discontinued on XP and Vista within about 3 weeks. As Iron, Opera, etc are all based on Chrome's Blink engine, they'll likely be dropping XP/Vista as well.
