I've checked all over the forums and couldn't find anything about this, except that the PortableApps Menu will run on any type of Windows account. At school, the system in WindowsXP, I tried Starting the PortableApps Menu, no luck, same with all of the programs, all I can access is documents. The computer says the program cannot start because of restrictions on the computer. Is there ANY work-around around this situation? Or am I outta luck?
Some computers are set up so you can't run anything from a removable drive. In that case, it doesn't matter what EXEs you have on there, no portable stuff will run from them. And, in case you're wondering, none of the other portable platforms will run either... PortableApps.com is the most compatible (both OS-wise and account rights-wise) so if it can't run, nothing can.

Thanks for your help and info.
One possible workaround is to copy the apps locally and run em. Everything from here is self-contained in folders. So you could copy the FirefoxPortable folder to the desktop and try running it. Of course, it may not work. And, if it's against the rules at your school, you should probably not do it.

True. However, I have encountered the same issue, although I specifically blocks against the PortableApps NSIS based launchers. If it's not a launcher, it runs fine.
